The Cut

musing spotThis weekend I got a new haircut. I’ve been thinking about doing it for a while and finally went for it. The inspiration was Daria Werbowy’s style seen here. I don’t spend much time on my hair, so I like the the low-maintenance aspect of this cut. Plus it’s perfect for spring and summer.

Old & New

musing spot blogmusing spot blogmusing spot blogThis look includes the oldest and the newest items in my closet. I’ve had this vintage tweet jacket for years. The leather effect shorts are new. I like how they complement each other. The jacket dresses up the shorts, and the shorts dress down the jacket. It’s a perfect juxtaposition of old and new.

The Mix

JCrew’s Fall & Winter 2013 collection was one of my favorites at New York Fashion Week. I love how the looks mixed different prints. Although it’s spring now and I’m not wearing any JCrew items here, this look is definitely inspired by that collection.

DETAILS: pants: Banana Republic (Mad Men Collection); blazer: Forever 21(similar here); T-shirt: Jason Wu for Target (old, but available on ebay here); wedges: Mango; glasses: Ray-Ban; bag: Coach (Legacy Penny Shoulder)
