A coworker gave me Austin Kleon’s book, Steal Like an Artist for Christmas. It’s like the Ten Commandments of creativity. When Kleon was asked by a college in upstate New York to give a speech at their convocation, he sat down and wrote a list of 10 things he wished he’d heard when he was a college student. That list became the speech, which became a popular blog post and that lead to the book. People related to the list so much, they asked Kleon for his handwritten list to hang on their wall, so now, it’s available as a print on 20×200, among his Newspaper Blackout Poems.
