Bunratty Castle

Bunratty Castle, built in 1425, is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. It contains furnishings, tapestries and works of art from that period. What made this castle experience different is that we actually got to have dinner there – a medieval banquet to be exact. The staff, dressed in period costumes do their part in getting the guests into the medieval spirit. There’s plenty of food, but no modern utensils – just your fingers and a dagger. All in all, it’s a fun experience.
