Since this is mostly a style blog, I can easily shoot my looks on the street every time, but the art director in me loves scouting for new locations. On my daily commute I’m always on the lookout for areas that can be possible shoot locations. This particular one is in Pasadena, California, not too far from where I live. It’s called the Wrigley Mansion and Gardens, once belonging to William Wrigley Jr., the chewing gum magnate. After Mrs. Wrigley’s death in 1958, the property was presented to the City of Pasadena with the condition that it become the permanent base of operations for the Tournament of Roses. It is a stately Italian Renaissance-style mansion, with an adjacent garden that has hundreds of varieties of roses.
