Permanent Collection

Musing SpotMusing SpotMusing SpotMusing SpotMusing SpotThis past weekend I went to a museum with friends; the Los Angeles County Museum of Arts, to be specific. LACMA always has interesting temporary exhibits, such as the Stanley Kubrick one that we enjoyed. The permanent collection however is what defines the museum. From European sculptures to modern art, the permanent collection is pretty impressive. Those are the keepers, so to speak. If I’m allowed for a moment to compare art to fashion, this black shirtdress is part of my wardrobe’s permanent collection. Occasionally I will discard some items that are no longer relevant and some that I should not have bought in the first place, but a black shirtdress is definitely a keeper.

DETAILS: shirtdress: Zara (old, but similar ones here and here); hologram pumps: Forever 21; clutch: vintage; earrings: by boe; ring: Frank Gehry for Tiffany & Co.
